New Species - Candelariella reflexa
Another Lichen collected earlier in the year but I am still catching up with the Lichen admin. I found an English Names list on the British Lichen Society website but this species doesn't have one. Interestingly the genus Candelariella has two English names 'Goldspeck Lichen' and 'Yolk Lichen'. I am not sure whether this came from an Ash twig or Hawthorn or Apple.

One or two deer in the West Field
More than twenty to be accurate. Fallow Deer seem to gather in large numbers at certain times whilst most of the year they are seen here in small groups.

Good Year for wild Daffs
I think the best year yet for wild daffodils locally. This is the display in the woods a few yards from here.
New Species - Physcia aipolia - Hoary Rosette Lichen
One of the elegant lichens with its black and grey colour scheme. Differentiated from the similar P. stellaris by its Yellow Medulla reaction with KOH. Found on an Ash twig.

Red Kite Overhead
No photo but my first Red Kite sighting of 2022 and it was immediately overhead here in the Spring sunshine. We had no sightings the first few years here but they are becoming more frequent even if still unusual.
